Zach and I both value family and try to be at all the big events that we can be. I've known about Susi's graduation for awhile now so we made sure to save the weekend to be able to be down there to celebrate with her! I actually went to her high school, Satellite High , for my freshman year and while I don't have the best memories there (it was a ROUGH year for me) it was still neat to go back and visit especially since they've totally redone the entire school. This past weekend we went to Melbourne to celebrate my cousin, Susi's, graduation from high school. We left Friday (May 14th) afternoon and it was one of the worst car rides we've had in a LONG time. Kye wouldn't sleep for his nap and he literally tried to get out of his car seat (a first!). It was quite a struggle and we were thankful when we pulled into Mom's driveway so he could get out. It was crazy because right when we got him out he started walking!!! Now he's taken some steps here and there but hasn't started to walk more than crawl until now! It was so neat that he officially started walking for Gramma...I think she needed the boost and I know it made her weekend to see him walk like that. I know most of you probably remember my post about my love of laughing gas at the dentist ...I know you do b/c it's one of the posts I get the most people mentioning to me! How random is that?!?! I guess it's a common thing to love? Well last Thursday I had my first ever root canal. I actually had to get two fillings AND a root canal. Fun stuff right? I was nervous about it and my dentist here in town doesn't have any gas so I drove 30 min away to be able to get that junk! You KNOW I couldn't make it through without it! Once I got settled in the chair and the gas started flowing I knew right away that something was wrong. I have heard about drug users having "bad trips" and I realized that's what it was. Who came up with the name Chick-fil-A anyways? It's SUPER annoying to spell...Anyway we've been trying to get together with Seth and Crissy for awhile now but between our sicknesses, rashes, and their sicknesses it just hasn't happened. Finally we decided last Tuesday to go to Chick-fil-A 's family night where kids eat free! They have them here in town at both Chick-fil-As every Tuesday night!!! We've never been before and were kinda nervous about what it would be like. I envisioned millions of kids running around breaking rules and pushing the younger kids down. Thankfully, it wasn't like that AT ALL. It was AWESOME!!! The Megow Family (They have 4 mouths to feed and only spent $6!) The Parker Family (we spent $8!) As a woman it's sometimes tough to trust our husbands the way the Lord wants us to. Our husbands are to be the heads of the household and that's difficult to deal with when us women think we're right all the time ;) I've really been working on this AND working on trusting in God more. You hear people say "let go and let God" all the time but do we really do it? Heck no! We worry to death about things and try to control every aspect of our lives...wouldn't it be so much better just to enjoy the ride and let God handle it all?!?
