If you aren't up to speed on everything that has been going on with Zach's health then you may want to read these posts to get caught up: one , two and three . I'm not even going to attempt to put some ultra positive spin on the past 6 weeks since we got the news of Zach's potential MS diagnosis. It's been rougher than rough. I had a really hard time thinking about our future. Zach and I LOVE making goals and plans for the future and thinking about how different all of that may look now really rocked me to my core. I really held tightly onto this article I found . I stopped any other research and decided that I was only going to focus on that. I couldn't think about him having a more advanced form of MS and when I would think about it it'd be hard to breathe. We already got the "worst news possible" so my prayer was that we'd face the best case scenario within our "worst case" news. There are times in life where we all f...
I've probably mentioned this before but I'm just not a huge Thanksgiving fan? It's my least favorite holiday. Ironically it's also the holiday we were supposed to spend with my side of the family every year. The past few years we've figured out ways to create our own special traditions for the holiday. We make our turkey cookies, eat lunch at Mema's with Zach's fam and then have ice cream for dinner. What kid wouldn't be crunk about getting to eat ice cream (and tons of toppings) for dinner?!?! We originally had planned to take Tess to Disney for the first time in March of 2017, when we go for Kye's birthday. However the crowds are worse for March than they are around Britt's birthday in Dec! We figured it all out and it made the most sense to extend Britt's birthday trip and make ...
Every year we go out to Hambrick's Tree Farm to cut down a Christmas Tree. This year we went earlier than we have ever gone before (the Saturday PRIOR to Thanksgiving) and were actually the very first customers of the season ! We wanted to have the tree up and decorated and give it a good few days to get plenty of water prior to leaving for Disney :) We told the kids we wanted a 6-6 1/2 foot tree so they were mindful to check tags! I got Zach this shirt on super post-Christmas clearance last year...I figured it'd be handy to have in case we attend an ugly sweater party or something, I didn't quite picture it being worn to cut down our tree haha Tess's shirt ended up being a tad short and it cracked me up b/c she looked like a pregnant girl who was too cheap to buy maternity tops!!! Being the first family had some advantages. The big one being that the workers were SUPER helpful. With Zach's back he really cou...
