Kye's Baptism

Wednesday, June 6, 2018

Kye has been asking for a couple of years now about baptism. It's something we've studied together with him and read over scriptures and have known for awhile that he fully understands what baptism is and why it's essential. Baptism is an extremely personal decision and is THE most important decision of our lives! Choosing to love God with all your heart and give your life to Him is HUGE. Zach and I have talked often about how to handle this tender time with Kye (and all of our other children as well).

Mother's Day 2018

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

This year we had a pretty full schedule the weekend of actual Mother's Day so we celebrated the Saturday prior as a family. With a new baby at home we had to keep things pretty low-key which really made for one of the BEST Mother's Day EVER! Zach and the kids really took time and effort to make sure I felt appreciated from start to finish the entire day and I loved every minute of it :)

Kye Monthly Summary: November

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

Kye is always such a bright light in any tough spot. He steps up when he needs to. If we have a new baby he is right there ready to help. He's understanding when plans have to be changed. He is a huge helper around the house and just happy face whenever anyone is feeling down. We noticed a shift in Kye with Zach's news. He was much more emotional and quicker to get upset. We wanted to be upfront and honest with the kids and I don't regret doing that, but it was good that both Zach and I saw the changes in Kye and did our best to make sure we were there for him through it! Kye and I had our very first (prob not last!) Starbucks date! I'm new to the cake pop world and am IN LOVE He got a peppermint hot chocolate and it was a poor choice b/c he did NOT like it haha We also stopped by the dollar store and got a little bonus treat (Yes, I'm like a 5 year old but these are AMAZING) Kye didn't like his "coffee" so he pa...

Show Us Your Life - My Church

Friday, April 1, 2011

Today over at Kelly's Korner she's featuring churches and I'm proud to show off mine! I'm a proud member at Central Avenue Church of Christ in Valdosta, Georgia . Zach was born and raised in the church and always attend at Lakeland Church of Christ in Lakeland. Georgia . I was raised Catholic and when I first called my mom to tell her about Zach I told her that he was a strange religion. She warned me that he'd probably try to "convert" me and she was right (although we all know JESUS does the converting right?)! He taught me about the love of Jesus, that the Bible IS God's Word and an instruction book for our lives, and that baptism IS essential to salvation. My first time visiting Zach's church in Lakeland was also the first time I met his family and the first time I'd opened a New King James Bible. Even in that first class it all clicked with me and made me realize that I had a void in my life that only Jesus could fill. Zach actua...

Jordan's Baptism!

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

On our last night of the Labor Day trip (I know you're so sick of hearing about this thing!) Jordan pulled Mr. Rusty aside to talk with him ~ I was hoping it was "the talk" about marrying Casey but it was actually something even better ! He was talking to Mr. Rusty about being baptized which is the biggest decision of his life. I am very honored that he wanted all of us to be part of his special moment and it was great to all meet up at Lakeland (our old church and where Mr. Rusty and Mrs. Charlotte still attend) to celebrate his baptism together. Even Jordan's parents drove down from Kennesaw to be part of the event! I love Mr. Rusty's face...hilarious I personally feel a little insecure about discussing baptism on this blog. It's such a HUGE deal that I just don't trust myself to say the right things. I've asked Mrs. Charlotte for some help and she let me borrow a book called Introducing the Church of Christ as a reference for this entry. I ...
