Zach headed off to Ireland on Wednesday June 13th. I met up with Robyn at pretty much the same time Zach left to drive down to Orlando. I've never driven my kids solo before for that long of a drive with any of them at this young of ages. I was pretty nervous about it but thankfully Spear is on the 4 hour schedule which means he wouldn't have to stop and eat because we can for sure make it from our house to the Disney House in under four hours! The Ireland Crew!
We kicked off the day with Kye thanking us for totally splitting up the kids from their attempted sleepover the night prior. He was cracking me up about how thankful he was that I made them separate! Our plans for the day were to head to Disney Springs. While our main goal for the trip was the beach, our second main set of plans was to visit The Void in order to redeem Kye's birthday gift! The plan for the day was to chill at the condo until Spear woke up mid-nap (like 10ish) then head to Disney Springs, give Spear his 11:00 bottle there and be back to the condo in time for naps at 1:00.
After our morning at MK we all got to work! Zach's family was heading back the next day and our crew was heading back the following day. A lot of what was left were little tasks that the kids could help with and that I could be of help handling too! Kye was AWESOME at jumping in and getting to work! He assembled all the lamps I bought at Ikea and helped me by going room to room and taking photos of the lamps that were already in each room so I could know what we were working with and decide how to change things up :) He also was an awesome helper with Spear! Monday morning I made cinnamon rolls for everyone. I used the canned type but put them all really tightly into a pan and undercooked them. OMG these were the BEST cinnamon rolls ever. Spear and I left Ben and Liz's house and headed to Target! I gave him his bottle in the Starbucks there (SO jealous of these super fancy Target's with Starbucks in them) and then did shopping to load up on stuff we'd need for the coming week at our next place to stay! First Target shopping trip! We then headed to check in at the condo where we'd be staying. We stayed at Carbie Cove back on our trip in October for Britt's bday and LOVED it and thought it'd be a good option for ICPC. I called and talked to them about our situation and they agreed to get me a first floor room AND to allow me to add on additional nights if needed. I had no clue how long to book the stay for as we could just be there a few days or longer than a week. I literally had no clue and no control over it. I got there and fed Spear in the lobby while Zach and the older three were on there way to meeting us! We all met up at the perfect time to unload and get settled in! ...
