When Zach and I made the leap and bought our house near Disney we knew we'd want to put some "sweat equity" into it and the timing couldn't have been better...the kids had THREE days off of school for a winter break! We made plans to go down and spend the whole time working. It was SUCH a blessing to have Zach's mom, grandmother and aunt come down with us and put in the work too. I seriously don't know how anything would have gotten accomplished without them!!! Our plan was for me to take care of the three older kids the whole weekend. If yall have ever tried to do any house projects with "little helpers" then you know it made sense for me to try to keep them BUSY and OUT of the house as much as possible! Spear is still so little and sleeps so much that he was a breeze to care for so the working crew took turns taking breaks and snuggling up with him for his feedings and awake times. Zach and I are always all about making the best of every situation. He had to go to Atlanta for his first visit at Shepherd Center and I, duh, was going to go with him. Since we had to be in Atlanta for the appointment anyway he was able to find a group he needed to work that happened to be very close to Shepherd. We decided to go up together, he'd work the group, we'd stay the night, then go to the appointment and go home. Solid plan :) It was SO WEIRD being with Zach for work. I've never gotten to see him in action but he was exactly as I'd assumed he'd be. Zach is very personable and very good at reading a room/situation/person and knowing how to best respond in it. He's just really awesome at what he does and it made me SO proud to see him doing his thing! It went from a tough situation work-wise to a day that ended up being a huge win for him. I felt really, really awkward being there while he was talking to people so I kinda hid around a corner an...
