Kicking Clover!

Friday, December 5, 2008

Sooo Clover kicked me tonight in the ribs! First time! And yes, it does hurt! We were playing monopoly and I was like "what was that?" b/c I felt something hard and I realized it was my child reminding me that she or he is still in there :) Can I also say I'm jealous of all these people getting to have their babies? I know mine isn't do yet but I'm ready for my turn to hold my baby in my arms! Lucky Rachael had hers a couple days ago and Lauren Pate is in labor right now! So jealous!

Everything takes longer than expected...

Pretty much nothing ever goes right on the first try for me! And poor Zach now has the same bad luck I do :) He has a busy work week this week (again! but it's a blessing with this economy!) and I really want to get ALL the Christmas stuff done (and Clover's room) so we can enjoy it! Every year it seems like we don't do it until the last minute so we don't even get to enjoy our house all decorated because we travel so much around the holidays. This coming weekend will be our only weekend in Valdosta the whole month so I wanted to get it all done this week :) We rushed after he got off work to cut down our tree and of course they were closed because it was close to dark but we sweet talked them into letting us pick one out really quick! We get it home, in the door, and in the tree stand to find out that the guys were so rushed that they didn't even out the bottom. It was soooo crooked! Poor Zach! We laid down a blanket then put the tree on our floor so he could bri...

100 Days!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

In 100 days our baby is due! I'm pretty sure it won't be until at least 110 days that we'll become parents but it's still fun to think about! Katie, Ashley, and I decided to call the baby Clover since it's due around St Patrick's Day (and Clover is a little better than calling it "it") With our baby being so active I've decided everytime it moves it means that the baby likes whatever it is I'm doing (or watching). So far a list of things the baby enjoys includes: Church (the most active Clover's been so far!) The Jewelry Channel Desperate Housewives X-Files Ikea Christmas Music Taco Bell My Bed I'm sure I'll be adding to the list soon :) I know Clover hates driving because I have yet to feel "it" while I'm in the driver's seat of my car...but maybe Clover just doesn't like my driving...

Spilt Milk

Monday, December 1, 2008

Thursday I was getting out of the shower (and applying my strict regimine of vitamin E oil, Palmer's lotion, and Cocoa Butter) when Brandon and his girl friend Chrissy arrived! I rushed as fast as I could to go visit with them so I just threw on my t-shirt without a bra. While sitting on the couch I noticed a wet spot on my shirt and thought it could have been from the dog so I asked Chrissy to smell it. She said it smelled like nothing so I figured it was water and ignored it. Friday night I was using Mom's computer and took my bra off because it gets uncomfortable after sitting for a long time. I went along checking e-mails then looked down and noticed another wet spot on my shirt. Then it hit me. I am totally LEAKING!!! So gross! I tried squeezing some out but nothing happened, so I guess it's just random leakage. And it's only, so far, out of the right and not the left. Mom gave me some cotton swab things to put in my bra and I wore that all day Saturday. Not the ...

Thanksgiving!

Since we spend every Christmas Eve/Christmas morning with the Parker's, our agreement is that we go to my family's for every Thanksgiving. We drove down to Melbourne Wednesday night and stayed through Sunday morning. It was nice just to relax for a weekend! Our family always gathers at Uncle Chip and Aunt Michele's house and this year was no different! At Easter Zach and the guys started the tradition of playing a family football game! So they decided to play volleyball at Thanksgiving. It's pretty hilarious seeing as my family is not really the athletic type. I think all us on-lookers enjoyed laughing at the guys and especially at how competitive Zach is! We had 32 people but we still did our annual tradition of going around the room and saying what we're thankful for. As a little girl I dreaded this tradition! So embarrassing! But as an adult I appreciate the opportunity to tell my family how much I love them and to reflect on what God has blessed me with over t...
