Day Two of Hawaii we had to get up early to go on our free Aflac outing. We chose to do Pearl Harbor. I did it when I visited Hawaii in high school and I felt it was the best choice for Zach to get to go. If you ever visit Hawaii, it's a MUST SEE. It's part of our nations history and, to me, it'd be wrong to visit the area and not see it. Zach loves history type stuff so I knew he'd enjoy it. Plus it was one of the only choices that included free lunch, and we're all about getting the most for free that we can ;) We actually debated about doing the dolphin excursion instead, as it's way too expensive to ever probably do on our own - but I looked into it and found out I wouldn't be allowed to swim with the dolphins due to pregnancy. But, it's not what you're thinking! The reason is that dolphins use sonar which is similar to what the dr offices use for ultrasounds so the dolphins can see the baby in my stomach and will be SO excited and happy th...
Zach and I look forward to our Aflac trips! It's GREAT to get to go on a free vacation just the two of us :) This year we were especially excited because we had a Mediterranean Cruise (to Spain and Italy) and then would turn around less than two weeks later and get to go to Hawaii! Sadly, I turned out to be too far along pregnant to go on the cruise. We literally had to throw away that opportunity :( I was VERY bummed about it (and we are saving every spare dime we possible can so we can go to Italy on our own in May for our five year anniversary!) but once we went to Hawaii I'm THANKFUL we weren't allowed to go on the cruise. It was BY FAR the best thing and I know God totally played a hand in how that worked out. A flight to Hawaii is about 13 hours total with a 6 hour time change. Yikes. The flight to Italy is the SAME time and the SAME time change but in the opposite direction (we'd go 6 hours ahead for Italy, 6 hours behind for Hawaii). I cannot fathom being 30 w...
Um did I just read that right... 35 WEEKS?!?! Does anyone else feel like this pregnancy has flown by??? Baby Size: Blitzen is now over 18 inches long and weighs around 5 1/4 lbs (weight of a honeydue melon). Most of his or her physical development is complete and from here on out Blitzen will just keep getting more plump ;) Belly Pictures: I waited to take these until tonight so Zach could be here to take them...I'm not crazy about the whole backwards number in the mirror thing! It is neat to see that I am running low on my belly stickers and I can't wait to be replacing them with monthly milestone stickers for the baby to wear each month! I recently ruined my favorite pair of maternity jeans (they were DARK colored capris) and have been waiting and waiting for Old Navy (online) to get my size back in stock of their maternity skinny jeans (Old Navy has THE BEST maternity pants! hands down!) but found out that they have discontinued them. Um why?!?! Today my new mate...
