Kye was looking forward to Dad's Day at school this year! He had a great time at their special day last year and considers donuts one of his favorite foods so, of course, he was crunk ;) When I saw the invitation (which was SO precious!) I was hopeful that Zach would be "entertained" during their time at school since they asked him to bring a hammer and screwdriver ;) Dude likes to build stuff haha. That morning I gave Zach free reign on Kye's closet to pick out anything he wanted. Usually I have a bad habit of refuting things he chooses and going back and re-choosing. I know I need to get better about that so I tried really hard not to suggest anything. Courtney turned the big 3-0 this year and everyone wanted to go all out for her special day! Casey came up with the idea of surprising Courtney somehow with Carrie Underwood tickets. When she first asked me if I'd be interested in going...I turned her down. Haha. I LOVE concerts but, legit, know ONE Carrie Underwood song (that one about digging her key into a dudes truck) and wasn't really sure if it was worth going to. But I had already missed out on their girl's trip back in March and didn't wanna miss out again, plus I knew it would be a BLAST! Brad set up a surprise lunch for Courtney at a local restaurant, Two Friends. She thought it was just their little family going ot eat but when they walked in ALL of us were there! Kye's FAVORITE place to go is to Chick-Fil-A. Hands down, no questions asked. And as a mama, I LOVE Chick-Fil-A too. Great food, clean environment, super friendly employees, play area, and especially awesome family nights! On Tuesday April 16th our local Chick-Fil-A had a Pirates and Princess Night. Um, duh. We were gonna be there :) Plus I love that every Tuesday is family night and when you buy one adult meal you can get a free kids one! Zach was out of town working so I planned on going solo but asked if Casey wanted to tag along too and it turned out Jordan was going to be home late from work as well.
