On Saturday, March 24th Zach took Jordan down to Jacksonville for a "guy day." He did something similar with Brandon (my brother) prior to his wedding. I'm glad Z and Jordan got a day away together, and they had a GREAT time! Now that they are officially brothers I'm sure the fun is just starting ;) I planned to chill on Saturday. I had both kids all day solo since Zach was gone and I was still pretty exhausted from Hunger Games and Veggie Tales , as was Kye. We chilled that morning and planned to hit up the strawberry patch that afternoon. Of course it rained all morning long. Mom and I had planned to take the kids together (she's never been and I KNEW it'd be her type of thing) so we were texting back and forth debating on what to do. If it didn't clear up I still wanted to take the kids out to do something FUN so I figured our back up plan could be one of those bounce house places. Luckily, it stopped raining! Plan A was ON! Mom came over and...
I have never really experienced the standard "bad skin" most people go through during some period in their lives. I credit this to my mom. When I hit puberty she took me to the local Clinque counter and started me on their three step program. As I got older, we switched to Proactiv. Then I got married and couldn't afford Proactiv anymore and switched to just some random over the counter type stuff. I was fine with this routine for awhile but I could tell my skin wasn't as clear as it could be. While I haven't ever really had acne, I do have skin tone issues. Lots of discoloration and stuff that I deal with and good products help even that out! I've always been the type of person to talk to strangers. I enjoy meeting new people, and especially find joy in complimenting them. My grandmother looked wonderful for her age but had a lot of wrinkles, and I'd rather not follow down that path. Something I always was on the hunt for when people watching were o...
I've mentioned before that it took me awhile to adjust to life with two. Being adjusted is a different thing from thriving though...I'm still in the process of feeling confident when leaving the safety of our home with both kids ;) All children are different and I'd always heard that the second baby is often easier than the first because they have to be more adaptable. Well, not Britt. She likes to make sure we don't forget about her ;) She is NOT a fan of her car seat what-so-ever and that makes outings a little tricky. Before Britt was born I talked to Zach, Mrs Charlotte and Mom about helping take Kye to and from school for me since his drop off and pick up times clashed with her schedule. Now that she's on the four hour schedule I'm able to drop him off and pick him up...but it's not a joy! Poor Britt screams majority of the time on the way there, on the way home, then again on the way there and on the way home. If she isn't screaming, she's...
Many people would say that we have the "perfect family." We have one boy and one girl and majority of couples would stop having kids at this point...we're nowhere near done but I do enjoy having an even number for our family photos ;) What can I say...I'm a sucker for even numbers! Maybe next time I'll have twins so we can just keep the numbers even haha! This is the last post of photos from our recent shoot with Captured By Colson . She got AMAZING sibling and family photos at our last shoot in December so I wasn't hardcore about getting some this time around. It's a good thing too because by the time Kye was done being an awesome model for his pics he was OVER it. While he didn't misbehave or anything like that, he didn't have much of the cute smiles left him in. Bless his heart, being adorable is a full time gig ;) I'm SUPER excited for our next shoot in June because he won't have any solo ones...which means he can save up all the...
