Kye had been SO excited about celebrating his birthday at school! Of course we ended up having to do our taxes the same morning as his little party was scheduled. But we made it work! It actually ended up being perfect because it meant Zach could swing by the party for a few minutes before leaving for work! They celebrate all the birthdays for the month at once so Kye was celebrating with two other little girls in his class. He wanted to wear his firetruck shirt from his party! Mrs. Lindsay made him a special birthday crown to wear (which is his very possessive with at home haha). Each mom volunteered to bring stuff for the party. I made the same Dalmatian cupcakes we had at Kye's birthday party and made little cupcake toppers to go with them. I also supplied a sheet of fire truck stickers for each child and one of the suckers from the party as I had just enough left over :) The class sang a Happy Birthday song for the birthday kids and they also g...
Several months ago I saw that the Harlem Globetrotters were coming to town and thought it'd be a fun thing for Kye to get to experience. Zach and I used to watch The Amazing Race and loved two of the Globetrotters who were on it a couple years ago so I've kinda always wanted to see their show ever sense! They were coming to play at VSU and I jumped at the chance to buy tickets. The event started at 7 pm on Tuesday March 12th. The night before had been one of the worst nights I've had since Britt was a newborn. Kye had this awful cough and woke up a zillion times during the night. Seriously, he hasn't woken up that often since he was 8 weeks old haha. He RARELY wakes up once in the night, and NEVER wakes up more often than that. I tried giving him...
The weekend of March 8th I was supposed to be on a girl's trip to Orlando with Mrs. Charlotte, Courtney, Casey, Jolee, and Mema. I ended up deciding not to go for many reasons, mostly that it didn't line up with our financial goals. This ended up being the weekend that we were anxiously awaiting the news on Kye's bone scan so I was beyond thankful that I decided to stay home. God has a plan huh? :) I love when I have "bonus time." Like when I have plans and they fall through so I feel like the time is totally free to do whatever! We had a SUPER chill weekend and it was just what we all needed. The weather was a little warmer that it had been so we ate outside (our kids are OBSESSED with eating outside, are all kids like that???), played outside, and just ENJOYED each other! I think this might be one of my favorite pictures ever. Melts my heart! Lunching it up on Friday, special treat to have Daddy home with us! (yes, Kye's flames were ...
