Kye's One Year Pictures
Sunday, March 21, 2010
The Saturday after the wedding (I know, I know I'm super behind!) we met with Autumn (be sure to check out her site, she does great work and the site has several pictures of us and Kye! yay!) to do Kye's one year pictures. She had the idea to go to the fire station down town and I LOVED it! Such a BOY thing to do! I called them and they were pretty excited about it and trust me, I think we were the highlight of their day (or maybe even week haha). Of course Zach knew a few of the firemen (that always happens to us!) so they kinda stuck to us talking to him but we just kinda did our thing! They even pulled the big truck out for us and pretty much let us do whatever we wanted. They were SO nice. I can't wait until Kye is older and I can take him up there again when he can really appreciate how cool it all is!
Now that Kye is so mobile it's hard to get him to sit still for pictures but we did our best and the three of us make a good team. Autumn tells us what she wants, Zach makes sure Kye is safe (ready to catch him if he's up high on something) and I pull out toys and such while also making sure Kye looks okay (telling Zach to fix his shirt, wipe snot, etc). We had Kye's hair fixed super cute but it was VERY windy so we ended up not worrying about it and sticking a hat on him and I'm glad we did. I think the hat is precious! Btw I got the whole outfit from The Children's Place (hat, shirt, and socks - jeans were from Ebay and shoes were Gymboree, obviously all on sale!) Yes, his shoes did get ruined b/c we let him crawl on the concrete and yes it was his first time wearing them. But they were $6 and it was worth it for the cute pictures :) Here are some of my favorites from the day and you can view them ALL on this link or the link under the "My Pictures" label on the side of this blog! Enjoy!
