After our fun morning we took naps and ate lunches and headed back to Animal Kingdom but this time without Spear and Cam. Whew it was still super hot but it was SO much less stressful for me to be baby-free! Heading to Nemo!
First thing Tuesday morning we hit up Animal Kingdom. I am thankful that Courtney's kids aren't super into Disney as they weren't concerned about riding Flight of Passage. Lately Disney has been doing an extra magic morning hour for Animal Kingdom practically every morning in order to allow on property guests to get in early and ride Flight of Passage. I knew with it being an extra magic hour that morning that we'd have no shot at riding FOP but thankfully no one minded! Even with an extra magic hour it's still valuable to get to the park early and be up among the early arrivers so once the non-resort guests are allowed in we can make a mad dash for our first ride (this day being safari). Zach and I are used to getting to the parks early but it can be tough for such a large group of kids to have to sit and wait, especially in the heat. And it's tough for them to understand the reason behind it...it's either wait now OR have to wait in super long lines onc...
We finished up at the pool and headed up to the room to get ready for our last night! We had dinner reservations at our actual resort (The Yachtsman) so it was really nice to be able to take our time knowing we just had to walk downstairs for dinner :) I loved that our view was overlooking Boardwalk! I've actually never visited the Boardwalk area but am super excited to do so sometime soon :) I love that there are practically endless options and opportunities at Disney World, you can go a million times and still have new things to experience!
We decided as a family to hit up two parks over the weekend. Yes, we had a good bit of house stuff to do but when you can visit just for a couple hours, why not do it? On Sunday April 29th we went to Animal Kingdom. Over Spring Break we had lucked out and been granted access to the park during the extra morning magic hour. We assumed it was just luck, but figured it wouldn't hurt to test it out. Well. We won't be testing it out again! Ha! We got there and got into the park and a very small section was open for people waiting who weren't allowed in during the extra magic hour. We tried scanning our bands and no luck, we weren't granted access this time!
When we first purchased our Disney Vacation Rental Home we planned to go for Spring Break. I mean it just makes sense! Why not use the house for the week and have a chill family time, right? Our property manager contacted us and let us know he had someone interested in renting it for that week for a LARGE sum of money. We said "BOOK IT!" and instead made a short visit down and just got a cheap condo for our few nights.
Our second park day we planned to do sorta the same routine as the day prior...hit up Animal Kingdom and then go back and nap and come back to Animal Kingdom that evening to finish things up. Rain was predicted in the forecast for the afternoon so we decided to switch it up and just do everything we wanted at Animal Kingdom and then come back to the room rather than deal with the rain that evening. I loved getting sweet updates of Spear! He did SO great and had that awesome bonding time with G-Mama and Big Papa! Bubble Wands yall. They are the JAM for park entertainment! I tend not to be in a big hurry to experience new items at the parks. Whenever something new opens, the lines are INSANE and since we do go often it just doesn't seem worth it to battle the long lines. We visited Animal Kingdom in the fall and didn't even attempt Flight of Passage and regretted it. When we passed by it that morning it had NO WAIT so we talked about riding it next trip. Rig...
