10 years. 3,039 posts. 8,442,417 post views. This is what 10 years of blogging dedication looks like! I celebrated my 10th blogging birthday this past week ( you can view the post...and GIVEAWAY here. It ends TONIGHT yall! ) and it really is just insane to me that it's been a full decade since I started blogging. Since I focused my 10th year post on the giveaway, I really wanted to take some time today to focus on the blog :) Photo by the incredible Captured by Colson!
If you've been a reader of my blog for any length of time then you know it's a family blog and I try to keep it in chronological order. Since my last posts were summaries of November that means I'm FINALLY caught up to post Spear's Birth Story! I know so many of y'all are excited to read his story and I'm SO eager to share it. However, there have been issues with my blog for awhile now. The ad company I've been with for the last couple of years has slowly gotten worse and worse regarding redirect issues. I appreciate those who have reached out to let me know of the redirect problems with my site and I assure you I get them too and I've been in constant contact with the ad company in trying to get the issues resolved. However, I'm at their mercy and they just haven't ever fixed the problem AT ALL and it's just progressively gotten worse. I would hate to post his birth story and have so many people frustrated over trying to read it and be...
Today I'm linking up with Momfessionals to share some of my favorite blog posts as well as some of my most popular ones :) I started blogging in August of 2008. EIGHT years ago! I was newly pregnant and wanted a way to keep track of everything going on throughout my pregnancy. I always enjoyed scrapbooking but really love writing so I found that blogging was really the perfect blend of both. It also allowed my Mom to stay in touch with everything going on since we didn't live in the same town. Those early blogging days were fun! This was my very first blog post and it covered all the info about the first several weeks of my pregnancy with Kye. See, I rambled and over-shared even from the start ;) My personal favorite posts are all about the births of our babies. I LOVE re-reading both mine and Zach's versions of those special days. I'm so thankful for such wonderful experiences and to be able to give birth naturally all three times! My version of Kye...
I'm SO excited that Kelly from Kelly's Korner is brining back her Show Us Your Life link-ups. I have met several blog friends through the Show Us Your Life posts and I have always looked up to Kelly as a blogger. She keeps it real and I'm all about that with my own blog too! So today's link-up is all about introducing ourselves and our blogs...here goes! I'm Emily! I'm 31 years old and live in Valdosta, Georgia. As a little girl I would pretend that I was in a tv show based on my life (think Truman Show) and would talk to my audience through my mirror (think Zach Morris "time-out" style). I had this idea that I'd one day write a series of books based on the "tv show" of my life...and blogging is my way of fulfilling that childhood dream :) All of the pictures of me have at least a kid or two in them...the only solo ones are either with Disney characters or with food. So I'll do one of each: My passion in life is...
This post covers all of our family fun from the month of November! We spent two weekends in November taking our separate trips with the big kids! Zach and Kye had their camping weekend first so that meant the girls and I had some girl time :) Steak and Shake is ALWAYS my go to! Fun hats, fun kids meal stuff, free kids meals on weekends...and MILKSHAKES! Let her try a cheese fry...instant fan of course! Tess is starting to get interested in coloring! Yay for meal entertainment! Our favorite froyo place (The Mix) had a Frozen themed day and I was excited to surprise Britt! We went to one there before and she LOVED meeting Elsa and Anna so I knew she'd be mega pumped! Is this an excited face or whhhhat? Bless this girls heart! I felt so bad for her in the ice cream costume especially when all the kids were focused Elsa and Anna! The girls and I had a fun weekend together! I LOVE that they are truly starti...
