Now that I'm officially in the third trimester it's time to get those guesses coming about when this baby will arrive! I LOVE giving away prizes and this is a great excuse for a giveaway. Obviously, we won't know the results for awhile but I promise I won't forget to pick a winner! Here's how it's going to work...anytime between NOW and when Blitzen is born you can put in your guesses for gender, birth date, birth time, birth length, birth weight, and first letter of the baby's first name. I set up a baby pool using babyhunch.com. You can enter in your "hunch" HERE !!! Rules: Only guesses submitted on the babyhunch site will count! You can leave comments here, but they WILL NOT count for the baby pool or the prizes!!! You must leave your name and email address when you submit your guesses so I know how to contact you if you win. US residents only as I will not be shipping the prizes across the world ;) Anyone may enter to win - including i...
The new Fall 2011 Collection has arrived from Stella and Dot! I'm very excited to be adding new pieces to my jewelry collection! A wonderful thing about Stella and Dot is that they keep things fun and fresh by retiring pieces to make room for new items. While I LOVE all my jewelry, I thought it'd be a good idea to sell some of the retired things so I can spend money buying new stuff! I'm going to be putting the items for sale up on Facebook next week, but I thought I'd give my faithful readers a chance to be the first to score a good deal before it's gone :) Each of these pieces is RETIRED. Which means they are no longer available for purchase through Stella and Dot or any retail outlet! 1. Boca Chic Necklace: Semi-precious dyed jade mixed with handset pave rondelles. Gold plated chain, length 39". Original Retail Value: $69 . My Price: $40 This was one of my first pieces and I love the coral color with the gold! Simple yet makes a statement. You can see...
One of my goals this year is to do my very best at my new career with Stella and Dot. I really love the company and the jewelry! I heard about a bridal show in Thomasville and I had to be part of it, and I'm so glad I did it! It wasn't cheap but it was a TON of fun! I usually over-stress about stuff like this but this time around I just figured we'd set it all up and figure it out once we got there. The only thing I really spent money on was the big posters I had made up and they turned out great! I'm also thankful to one of my friends, Brandie, who told me to put pictures of some of the celebrities who wear the jewelry on display. We didn't realize that the peg board wouldn't be white so the celeb pics helped cover up the ugliness. I was SO happy with the way my booth looked...not bad for a first timer huh? Celebrities LOVE to wear Stella and Dot and it's featured ALL the time in magazines on TV shows! I know there's several pics of my booth but I...
If you read this blog then you know something about Stella & Dot since I'm pretty much wearing it in every picture :) I started with the company in September (which you can read about here ) and I'm SHOCKED with how much I'm loving it. I'll be the first to admit that working isn't really "my thing" and that I'm not motivated to work b/c of money. I know that sounds awful but even when I was broke in college I just wasn't a super hard worker. I didn't care if it paid good or not - I didn't want to be there!!! I realize now that I probably didn't do great at those jobs because I didn't really enjoy them (I mean, duh, working at a dry cleaners is not exactly awesome). Once I started babysitting I was in HEAVEN and didn't care at all how much it paid - I did it because I loved the kids and truly enjoyed my time with them. Now with Stella & Dot I've found another job I truly love. I don't love it for the money as...

After much research and thought I've decided to become a Stella & Dot stylist! It's a fun way to get to have lots of girl time with friends and earn free jewelry for myself and others! I've been thinking about doing something like this for quite sometime now, but nothing ever seemed to be the right fit for me. I thought about Pampered Chef and even though their stuff is nice do I really want to hook my friends up with free cooking stuff (I mean would I even use the stuff myself?)? I also considered Mary Kay but I'm just not a make-up kinda girl...then I saw someone post on Facebook that the entire cast of the Bachelor Pad (which duh I watched every episode!) wore Stella & Dot jewelry. Celebrity style...cute stuff...affordable prices...I was SOLD! I really think you guys will love it all too! Since I became a mom it's sometimes hard for me to feel pretty (I mean seeing those stretch marks and post-nursing breasts does NOT help the cause!) and cute jewelry ...
