Home Outdoor Improvements

Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Recently I did a post updating yall on some of the indoor home improvements we've made lately ...here is one about the stuff we've (and by we, I mean ZACH) been doing to improve the outside! You can see how the outside looked originally here ! When we first moved in our house we really didn't do much to the outside. It was low, low, low on our list of priorities! We didn't even have grass in some places of the backyard and didn't have a single plant either back there. Slowly, we've been working on getting the backyard how we want it to be. We still have a lot of long term plans (outdoor kitchen being on the list!) but right now I feel like our backyard is perfect for our needs. We enjoy hosting the Parker clan often in the summers and now we have lots of seating options on the porch for cook outs as well as seating around the pool area and plenty of storage for all of our pool towels, toys, and supplies. Who wants to come over for a swim? ;) I'm SO ...

Pre-Reunion Challenge!

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

I know allllll of you are already well aware that my 10 year high school reunion is right around the corner! Can I say once again that I'm PUMPED?!?! There's nothing like a 10 year reunion to make me motivated to get looking, and feeling, my best. I stopped nursing Britt back in Jan and have done the full 24 Day Challenge every 90 days since ! I really am LOVING all the great stuff Advocare has to offer. It's been a life-changer for me and my family. Zach and I both stay on products in between the challenges and it's truly become a lifestyle for us. July is my 90 day is up time so I'm going to be starting another round of the 24 Day Challenge on Thursday July 11th !!! I just ordered all of my stuff today and am SUPER excited about it!  Since starting on Advocare products a year ago (when I did the modified Challenge for nursing moms ) I feel like I'm sooooo much more in tune with my body. I am a carb and dairy lover but since starting a healthier ...

End of School Year

Monday, July 1, 2013

Kye has been counting down to summer! He's been so excited to end the school year, enjoy all of our summer plans, and then start the 4 year old class in the fall. It's hard to accept that he's so eager to grow up when I just want to cuddle him and keep him little forever and ever :) They had a pj and movie day for the last day of school! "It's SUMMER!" "YES!" Comparison of his first day of school vs his last day of school. The new hair cut makes him look SO GROWN! On his last day of school Rachael and her crew happened to be passing through Valdosta on their way to Disney (why oh why couldn't I have just hopped in the car with them?!?!?). Britt and I met up with them for an early lunch at CFA. Time spent with Rach and her sweet family is never long enough and it was almost just like a TEASE to see them for a little bit! We had such a hard time saying goodbye that I was actually LATE picking Kye up from school. Oops. Qualit...

Unconditional Love

Sunday, June 30, 2013

As defined via Wikipedia : Unconditional love  is known as affection without any limitations. This term is sometimes associated with other terms such as true  altruism , complete love, or "mother's/father's love." Each area of expertise has a certain way of describing unconditional love, but most will agree that it is that type of love which has no bounds and is unchanging. It is a concept comparable to true love, a term which is more frequently used to describe love between lovers. By contrast, unconditional love is frequently used to describe love between family members, comrades in arms and between others in highly committed relationships. An example of this is a parent's love for their child; no matter a test score, a life changing decision, an argument, or a strong belief, the amount of love that remains between this bond is seen as unchanging and unconditional. So many times we throw out the word "love" and I don't doubt that we mean...
