Fresh Start for 2017!

Monday, December 19, 2016

Whew. If you're anything like me then you are COUNTING DOWN for the end of what has been a mega rough year. If you're also anything like me then you've probably been doing your fair share of emotional eating in order to cope with the hurdles 2016 has brought your way. Emotional eating = extra pounds = icky feeling = another reason to be ready for 2017! It's time to get back in the healthy game and hit that goal weight that you've been eying for awhile now! The thing I LOVE about Advocare is that they always hook us up with a great deal right at the holidays so we can be ready for that reset button at the start of Jan (Who would ever start a healthier lifestyle at the end of Dec right? Gotta enjoy that holiday grub!). Advocare is doing a NATION WIDE 24 Day Challenge that will begin on Jan 2nd ! People from all across the country will be starting together on that day which makes it a fabulous time to be encouraged by others and have that added accountability (...

Finally Back to ME {Thank you Advocare!}

They say it gets harder to lose the baby weight with each baby you have as well as with the older you get. Third kid, just turned 30. Yup. I can confidently say that both of those statements are true! This weight loss was no joke for me! I am going to say this now so if the time comes that I'm nursing and am heavier than I want to be and am frustrated by that I can look back and be reminded: QUIT STRESSING IT.  I put a LOT more pressure on myself this time around and what for? I should have just enjoyed nursing (which I did fully enjoy it but I shouldn't have let my weight bother me so much) and trusted that once I was done nursing Advocare products would work and I'd lose the weight. I think it's just one of those things that it's hard to trust it'll work out. I always worry "what if THIS is the time that it doesn't work for me?!?" Advocare works. Period! I gotta trust it more and quit stressing during the time period when I can't use...

Group Challenge Time!!!

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Be sure to read the whole post as a way to get FREE Advocare products is included near the bottom AND there is a link to join in my DietBet even if you choose not to use Advocare products to help meet your goals!!! ***** While I've been so, so sad about weaning Tess I am also SO READY to fully lose this baby weight. Being 30 and having my third kid has made it a lot tougher for me to get back to my normal size and my body naturally holds weight while I'm breastfeeding. Now that I'm in the process of drying up , I'm ready to get my butt in gear and get it into my goal jeans! Time to get these OFF the hanger and ONTO my body! I am SO excited about starting up the full 24 Day Challenge with Advocare . I've had TONS of personal success with Advocare the past three years and am looking forward to having more amazing results! Zach and I are both starting our challenge together on Monday Sept 28th and we want YOU to join us! If you aren't familiar with...

Healthy Kids: Filling in Nutritional Gaps

Friday, August 28, 2015

When it comes to parenting people are passionate about many different things. I'd say most people would consider me to be "hardcore" about Jesus, sleep, and car seat safety. Those are probably my Top 3 "parenting passions" if you will (although if making memories counts then that's totes one too!).  Healthy eating is a very confusing area. You can find a billion books and blog posts and articles and journals with a billion different opinions. When it comes to healthy eating in our home my motto is "Do my best and don't stress the rest." I'm far from perfect in the area of healthy eating. We don't "eat clean." I don't buy a whole lot of organic fruits and veggies (all the milk the kids drink is organic but that's about the only organic thing we buy). However, I personally am happy with the balance we have. We limit junk and do our best to give our children the healthiest options possible at each meal. Healthy eati...

Journey Back To Pre-Baby Emily

Thursday, April 2, 2015

I may not have a huge blog following but I still take a lot of pride in keeping everything I say here as true to ME. I am honest (sometimes to a fault) and very open about all areas of my life. This post has taken me awhile to write. I just keep putting it off because it's hard for me to talk about the way I've viewed myself, physically, since having Tess.  When I had Kye I wasn't bothered at all  by the baby weight. I just had a baby! It took 9 months to gain the weight, what's the rush? I didn't overly stress it. Heck, I even wore maternity clothes long into my postpartum days. I gained a lot  of weight while pregnant with him and lost it all without too much effort. When I was pregnant with Britt I was more cautious about my eating habits and didn't gain nearly as much weight (I gained the least with her out of all the pregnancies so far). I LOVED how I looked while pregnant with her. Pregnancy looked good and FELT good on me and the postpartum phase als...
