Kye Monthly Summary: September

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Here is everything Kye was up to in September! Crazy Hat Party:  For Casey's birthday we hosted the 2nd annual Crazy Hat Party. The kids were SO PUMPED about their hats! The day ended up being a little different than we had originally thought (all the men had to leave for a men's meeting at their church) and the whole party was over before poor Britt even woke up from her nap haha! Luckily I took some pics of the hats they chose before the party started :) It rained during the party so the pool fun didn't last long but the three big cousins enjoyed some quality cuddle movie time! Most of the party people (I was so rushed I never did find myself a hat to wear!) School:  School is going okay. Kye does NOT love it the way he loved it last year. I think it's for two reasons. One it's a LOT more "work" and a lot less "play" now that he's in kindergarten. And two his teacher last year was above and beyond in the sweet d...

Afternoons in our house are usually pretty relaxing. Both big kids go down for naps at 1. Kye has a lamp in his room on a timer and the light turns on at 2:45 letting him know he can get up. Of course she had to decide to come into the world on a date that not every month has haha! So I guess it makes the most sense to take her monthly pics on the 1st of the next month following a month without 31 days :) According to What to Expect the First Year  here is a list of the milestones Tess has reached in comparison to other babies her same age! At two months old Tess can do all the things that a baby her age should be able to do  including: smile in response to your smile respond to a bell in some way, such as startling, crying, quieting  Tess can also do all the things a two months old probably will be able to do  including: vocalize in ways other than crying (cooing) on stomach, lift head 45 degrees She can also do most of the things a baby her age may be able to do including: hold head steady when uprig...
