Zach and I are always so appreciative of any Aflac trips he earns with the company. Sometimes though we opt out on going on the trip. We haven't been to National Convention since Hawaii , right after Tess was born. I can't remember if last year was Las Vegas or a Cruise but either way we'd opt out of going. Vegas isn't our kind of place and we just aren't cruise people ;) When we first heard the trip this year was New Orleans we weren't sure if we wanted to go or not. Neither of us had been (Zach's driven through but never stopped) but we always heard it was very "Vegas-ish" which wouldn't be our style. We did discuss it and my big thing is experiencing new places together. Why not go when it's FREE?!?! It's the first trip in awhile though that we didn't add on any days or anything. Today is Babywise Friendly Blog Network Week! I'm posting at Wiley Adventures about how to parent while it feels like your world is crashing down and Carrie is posting here with some GREAT tips for road trips with kids! We have taken so many road trips with our four kids, that I have started to prefer car driving to flying with kids. As a family, we all really like to travel and now that our kids are getting a little older, they are able to really enjoy it too.  Since my oldest was born, we have traveled several times a year to see family or for family vacations. We have logged thousands of miles across Texas, and are started to get our fair share in across the southern states now too.  Each of my kids are different in the car, which shouldn’t surprise me.
