The morning after Twilight Night (which I'll be blogging about next) I woke up feeling sick. This was on Friday Nov 18th. I thought I just felt sick from lack of sleep (as I didn't go to bed until 3...) but it hasn't gone away. It's now Nov 29th and I'm feeling even worse. I have a list the obgyn gave me of things to do when sick that are safe for the baby. So I've been taking Sudafed and Extra Strength Tylenol for well over a week now. The Sudafed will help clear my head for a couple of hours but it doesn't last all day and I'm still blowing my nose every 5 seconds. I have not had a fever, just constant yucky, green/bloody, snot. It runs down my nose, it runs down my throat, it clogs my nose, it fills a MILLION tissues. It's also keeping me up at night. I wake up every 2 hours. No joke. I get up. I pee. I blow blow blow blow blow then I try to go back to sleep only to have horrible dreams about going into labor while in this condition then to wak...
You've all seen the awesome barn down from our house. (if not you can in this post about my maternity pictures!) Right now we also have a BEAUTIFUL cotton field next to the barn! How cool is that? I think I'm getting used to "country living" because I really do enjoy all of these beautiful sites and love that my children will grow up seeing them on a regular basis. I'd been wanting to stop by the cotton field to take some pictures of Kye and since we got done early with school on his Thanksgiving Feast Day I thought it was the perfect time! We talk about cotton all the time (and how it looks like clouds and how it is what we use to make our clothes) so Kye was VERY excited when I told him we'd get to go see it up close and even touch it! Kye L-O-V-E-S school! I have been looking so forward to the Thanksgiving Celebration Day they hosted the week prior to Thanksgiving.The parents were invited into the classroom for most of the morning and we were able to participate in a Thanksgiving Feast together. I wish Zach could have been there but he was on his way home from Louisiana and had to work some accounts in Columbus on the way home. Right now he's really trying to get everything in he can before the baby arrives so I know that work comes first! That morning I dropped Kye off then met Mrs. Charlotte to go back to the dr to have my blood work done again , thankfully this time it went smoothly and I got done in plenty of time to make it back to Kye's school before I was supposed to be there. Zach and I both took a CPR class for a semester in college (It was the CRAZIEST class...Zach and I were both in it along with his high school sweetheart who he dated for like 2 years, a girl he randomly semi-dated for awhile, and the girl he broke up with to get with me. What are the odds?!?) but also took the infant cpr class at the hospital when we were pregnant with Kye. We felt that we could def use a refresher then since being parents put it all in a new perspective ya know? Here's my post from that course! When I babysat Titus and witnessed what we think may have been his first seizure I did not know he was having a seizure and started to do CPR steps on him. The FIRST thing I did was the finger sweep method. Warning: Daddy don't read this post! :) Zach and I both LOVE to buy presents. We go overboard for each other for pretty much every holiday. We may not be big spenders majority of the time (in fact, we're considered "cheap" by many...) but we simply love to go all out at the holidays. We both want our children to have that same love of giving and started a tradition early on with Kye to take him shopping to pick out a present for both Mommy and Daddy. Since I had the goal of being DONE running all errands prior to being full term, Kye and I did an early shopping trip for Daddy this year. We spent a solid 2 HOURS in Target! They give you 10% off when you finish buying the items on your baby registry and I had a lot of things left to get. One of the wonderful things about being pregnant with my second baby is I KNOW what I need.
