I gave Kye his very first hair cut when he was about 11 months old ( you can see the post about it here ) and he got his first legit hair cut well after his 1st birthday ( see that post here! ). When it came to Britt getting her hair cut I was in nooooo rush. Y'all. I LOVE her hair. She wakes up and it's beautiful. Seriously! But I started to feel like it was getting stringy at the ends and I was questioning if it was too long . So a month before her 3rd birthday I made an appointment for both of us to get our hair cut together. For Kye's first hair cut I was worried how he would do with it...but Britt? She was SO pumped! She loves doing special things with Mommy and she knows that Kye comes home with a sucker anytime he gets his hair cut. If you're anything like me then you've been eating your fair share of junk over the holiday season! I'm thankful the scale is sticking at the same number...but I'm ready to stop feeling so icky and ready to lose more weight while I'm at it! Zach and I did the Advocare 24 Day Challenge together back in September! I was (and still am!) nursing so I did a modified version using the products that my dr approved for me to use while nursing. You can see the list of products I use here ! I was 8 weeks postpartum when I started following my "nursing challenge" and I lost 5 lbs and 18.5 overall inches in just 24 days! After ours ended we headed to Hawaii and then had Halloween and my birthday and Thanksgiving and a Disney trip and a ski trip and then Christmas. Whew. It was tough to stay on track. I'm thankful that I didn't gain anything back, but I still have a good bit left to lose to be my pre-pregnancy weight! I am SUPER pumped to start up ano...
A couple months ago I posted about my struggle with postpartum depression. You can read that post here. I always want my blog to be my own personal experiences, but I also want to be able to help others whenever I can. I know that postpartum depression is very very common . I am not a doctor. I am not trying to say I have "the cure" for it. But when I struggled with postpartum depression I did a LOT of research and did several things to help feel better. I'm so thankful to be on the other side of it now and hope my experiences can help others get to this point as well. I also highly recommend the site: Postpartum Progress . I had a hard time finding postpartum depression resources and was so thankful to have found this site!

Yesterday I shared with y'all my favorites of the kids individual pics from our recent photo session with Captured By Colson . Today I wanted to share my favorites of the family photos! In the past I've done outfit changes for us all during the session to get some Christmas card photos. This time? I just had us all stay in the same clothes. Hello. Three kids? Wardrobe change? No thanks! When I picked our outfits I went with something that would work for holiday as well as just for everyday photos that I could hang in the house. I REALLY love how all our outfits came together and am SO happy with all of these photos!!! We didn't do individual parent pics with each child. My main goal of this photo session was to get a couple great pics of our entire family but mostly to get really, really great ones of the kids solo.
