Using What To Expect The Toddler Years here is where Tess is compared to the norm at her age! She turned 23 months old on June 30th :) She's wearing one of my old dresses for these pics. It's a little short on her but ohmygoodness isn't it CUTE?!?! I love it! I wish I had a pic of me wearing it but I don't! Tess can do everything a 23 month old should be able to do including kick a ball (it's the only thing on the list). She can also do everything a child her age will probably be able to do including: combine words identify 6 body parts by naming use 50+ single words Tess can also do the one thing a toddler her age may possibly be able to do which is put on an article of clothing (she helps put on her shirts, can put on her own shoes, and attempts to do her own panties) She can also do everything a 23 month olf may even be able to do including: identify 4 items in a picture by naming use prepositions ...
This is a summary of Tess's life from May 31st - June 30th. She was 22 months old during this month! I covered a lot about her during my summer weekly recaps but here's the stuff I didn't mention in those: Eating: Tess continues to do SUPER well with the transition to the booster. Probably because we put it off for so long haha. She likes to see everyone and copy everything they do at the dinner table. We had a few issues with throwing things on the floor but overall she's learned pretty quickly to keep things on her placemat. It would not shock me if my inability to smell was somehow genetic and if Tess couldn't smell. I know that's random but she's SO into TOUCH. Without my smell, majority of my food preferences come from the way things feel and I can see Tess being that same way. She's all about different textures and doesn't always want to eat food...she just wants to put her hand in the food and feel it. Sleep: This month we w...
This is Britt's summary from June, much like Kye's month most of her stuff was covered throughout the weekly summer recaps! Britt had a chance to participate in TWO camps this summer. Both gymnastics and dance camp. It was her first time in dance camp and second time at the gymnastics one (she did it during Christmas break as well). She really did wonderful at both (I mean as far as 4 year olds go haha) but she LOVES gymnastics and it's something we'll probably be looking into for her on a more regular basis once we get a solid routine down with school back in session. This month we told the kids (and the world!) about our plans to adopt. Britt is beyond excited for a new baby. She carried around the little onesie for weeks and talked constantly about the new baby brother. I know she'll be an amazing big sister to him and that she will be SO hands on in helping ME! I'm excited for a 2nd mommy around ;) The BIG girl news for Britt this...
