Spear's 4 Month Well Visit

Spear's 4th month well check was on Monday April 16th. We had THE first appointment which was so nice! With the shot appointments I really like Zach to be there. I don't want my kids to have issues with needles and I think his calm nature about them really makes a difference. It worked out great that we were able to have an early morning appointment time before he had to head to work!

Spear's 2 Month Well Visit and Britt's 6 Year Well Visit

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

Britt and Spear had their well visits on Feb 12th. It worked out where Kye and Tess both had their dental cleanings the same day so everyone missed school and everyone went with us to the morning appointment (then Zach took Spear and Britt home while I took Kye and Tess to the dentist!). Britt's 6 year check up didn't include any shots...but Spear's 2 month visit was also  his first round of vaccines. So that meant Daddy came too as Mama can't handle shot duty! Seeing what Disney rides she's tall enough for now ;)  Britt has been complaining of headaches on and off for awhile now so I was interested to see how she did with the vision exam. I had to get glasses when I was in 2nd grade so I assume at least one of our kids will need them! I figured her headache issues were vision related, but she passed the vision test with flying colors!  So glad big brother was there to help keep Spear happy while we waited :)  Waiting. And waiting. And wai...

Finally Back to ME {Thank you Advocare!}

Monday, December 7, 2015

They say it gets harder to lose the baby weight with each baby you have as well as with the older you get. Third kid, just turned 30. Yup. I can confidently say that both of those statements are true! This weight loss was no joke for me! I am going to say this now so if the time comes that I'm nursing and am heavier than I want to be and am frustrated by that I can look back and be reminded: QUIT STRESSING IT.  I put a LOT more pressure on myself this time around and what for? I should have just enjoyed nursing (which I did fully enjoy it but I shouldn't have let my weight bother me so much) and trusted that once I was done nursing Advocare products would work and I'd lose the weight. I think it's just one of those things that it's hard to trust it'll work out. I always worry "what if THIS is the time that it doesn't work for me?!?" Advocare works. Period! I gotta trust it more and quit stressing during the time period when I can't use...

Group Challenge Time!!!

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Be sure to read the whole post as a way to get FREE Advocare products is included near the bottom AND there is a link to join in my DietBet even if you choose not to use Advocare products to help meet your goals!!! ***** While I've been so, so sad about weaning Tess I am also SO READY to fully lose this baby weight. Being 30 and having my third kid has made it a lot tougher for me to get back to my normal size and my body naturally holds weight while I'm breastfeeding. Now that I'm in the process of drying up , I'm ready to get my butt in gear and get it into my goal jeans! Time to get these OFF the hanger and ONTO my body! I am SO excited about starting up the full 24 Day Challenge with Advocare . I've had TONS of personal success with Advocare the past three years and am looking forward to having more amazing results! Zach and I are both starting our challenge together on Monday Sept 28th and we want YOU to join us! If you aren't familiar with...

Accepting and Loving Your Post-Baby Body

Friday, May 1, 2015

I recently wrote a post about my personal journey to getting back my body after having my third baby ( you can read it here ). It was a difficult post for me to write but since writing it I have felt a lot better about myself. So many other moms contacted me saying how they felt less alone in their post-baby bodies after seeing my photos and reading about my experience which helped me feel less alone too! So often we read these articles about loving our bodies. How they are beautiful because they have given birth. How we should appreciate each curve as a reminder that our body once carried a baby (or several). That all sounds so nice,  but in reality? When you look in the mirror you don't say "oh I'm so thankful for that stretch mark, that cellulite, and that flabby belly!"  It's really, really  hard to find a place of peace with a post-baby body. Yes, there are those women who wear their pre-pregnancy jeans home from the hospital. Or the ones who eat wha...

Tess's 2 Month Well Visit

Friday, November 7, 2014

Tess had her two month well visit on October 2nd. I'm trying to keep her visits as "on track" as possible! I know once you get off track with them then you stay that way for awhile! It fell on a Tuesday which meant Britt didn't have school so she'd be tagging along to the appointment. Zach has been to EVERY SINGLE doctor appointment that requires shots. All of them! I do NOT like needles (hello: natural childbirth to avoid epidurals!) and I don't want my kids to pick up on my anxiety about them so Zach handles shot duty and I leave the room. But for this visit he couldn't come!!! I was super nervous about it but decided the best bet was to go at it solo. I adore Zach's mom but she is more high anxiety than I am and I didn't want her to freak out (she hated seeing the kids do survival swim so I'm sure she'd hate seeing shots too).  Our appointment was at 8:45 in the morning so we took Kye to school then headed that way! Miss Tess wa...
