It was SO exciting announcing our news yesterday to everyone! Thank you for all the sweet well-wishes and congratulations...it's going to be a fun blog topic for sure ;) Zach and I are very planned when it comes to our babies. This time around we had planned originally to be pregnant sooner. I thought it'd be nice to have a May baby but when Aflac announced the President's Club trip in 2014 will be to Ireland, in April, we decided to wait a bit. It couldn't have been a better decision! This way I'll get to be less pregnant for the big trip and Casey is able to be due before me, which was important to us. It's her FIRST baby. It's a BIG deal (not saying our third isn't a big deal but I just want Casey and Jordan to soak up ALL the attention they deserve! Plus I wanna be able to help her when the baby comes!). We had already decided to try to conceive in November but once Casey and Jordan announced their pregnancy at the end of October, the pr...
Don't get all excited! We are NOT currently in the "trying to conceive" process! However, I feel like I've been asked this question a lot lately and figured it was time to write a blog post about it :) Note : I am NOT any type of "expert" in this field. This is NOT advice for women who are dealing with diagnosed or even undiagnosed fertility issues. I did not intend for this to offend anyone or to paint myself as any type of professional in this matter. Be sure to discuss with your doctor any fertility questions or issues you my have. I have responded personally to all comments on this post and have also posted a blog entry in response to the comments, you may read that here . From now on any negative comments will be deleted from this post. Zach and I have been very, very blessed with easy conception experiences. I've known and read about so many women who are not as fortunate as we have been in this department and my heart truly goes...
I seriously do NOT believe people who have one kid and are pregnant with their second and say "I don't care what the sex is!" How could you have a boy and not want a girl??? How could you have a girl and not want a boy??? If Kye had been a girl then I'd be DYING for a boy right now. I LOVE that Zach has a son and I love that he will carry on the family name. Since I have a boy already, OF COURSE I want a girl! If this baby is a boy I will be very, very happy. I think brothers (especially two hott brothers like you know Kye and #2 will be haha) would be so neat and Zach wouldn't mind it one bit for sports reasons. Plus I already know everything there is to know about a boy - and we have ALL the clothes. I also feel like if Blitzen is a boy it's God's way of making sure we continue to have more children. I have seen SO many couples say that they want lots and lots of kids but then they have one of each, the "perfect" family, and don't wa...
OUR LIFE OVER THE PAST 8 WEEKS I got off "the pill" in March and start taking prenatal vitamins. We start officially trying in May (on our anniversary trip to Cancun!) but don't have any luck...thankfully we have better luck in June :) June 28th: We make a baby! Have a fun day of working on our home then go on a date to Longhorn's and to see the movie "What Happens in Vegas!" July 14th: After being a few days late for "that time of the month" we buy a pregnancy test the night of the 13th after Brandon and Chrissy leave from a visit. (Zach doesn't want to buy one because they are so expensive so I have to beg!) I get up early having to go to the bathroom so I use the test and see 2 lines! I run into the bedroom and wake Zach up yelling "I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant!" He jumps up and hugs me saying over and over how he just can't believe it! We of course take another one just to make sure and YUP we are officially going to be...
