Anyone who has read my blog even for a little while knows I don't go for too long without posting. If there isn't a new post from me (even if it is a couple months behind "real time") then something must be going on! This break? It's thanks to a hubby stuck in our bedroom for 10 days solid (which is also where I happen to blog) and a lack of internet availability (thanks Mediacom). Rather than jumping back into my chronological order posts, I wanted to do a little update on these past 10 days or so. You can get caught up on what's been going on with Zach's back in this post! Basically I can sum life up around here in one picture: My feelings of guilt I mentioned in that post about Zach's back didn't fade, they only got worse. And it seemed like Zach being out of commission made SO many other things become unraveled. I can't stand blogging out of order, but sometimes stuff happens where you just have to. I thank everyone for your prayers for Kye's Surgery and didn't want to leave you hanging for like a month to find out what all happened. Kye had surgery on Monday April 2nd. We got home from Casey's wedding weekend Sunday morning then had our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt that afternoon (many posts to come on both, I promise!). It was nice to stay busy. It helped me keep my mind off things. Sunday night I started preparing for Monday. We made sure Kye had a LOT to drink right before bed since he wouldn't be allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight (not that he has ever had anything to drink or eat after bedtime anyway!). Just writing the title of this post gives me a stomach ache. I'm a little hesitant to write this after what happened the last time I requested for personal prayers for my own little family but I know that so many of you want to pray for Kye and I know those prayers will help him in this so I'm writing it anyway! I wrote awhile back about Kye's situation (you can get caught up here ). After writing that post I got in touch with Kye's pediatrician to see about going for a second opinion somewhere locally. Turns out they sent us to Tifton because it's the closest place where a urologist will actually see children. They told me that if Dr. Peters recommend the surgery then he needs to have it. I called back to Dr. Peters office and explained to them that the first visit I was so nervous that I totally spaced out and didn't ask enough questions to really understand.
