Here are some of the many changes Kye has experienced during his 5th month of life! Reaching: Last month Kye really started reaching with a purpose. He's now reaching and GRABBING things! It's tough b/c a lot of the time he is wanting to play with things he's not allowed to have so we can't ever let him actually get what he wants. But it's super cute when he reaches out for Mommy and Daddy! He will grab our faces and pull us in for a "kiss" (really he's trying to bite us). So precious! He LOVES to reach for the camera and for the red decorations in our house as this video shows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RiokrFFArs Diapers Kye is in size 3 diapers now which I think he'll stay in them for awhile! It's annoying how the bigger the diaper, the LESS that come in the package. Ugh! We still love Pampers and I'm not super crazy about the Cruiser ones we're using right now. So far my favorite diaper is Pampers Dry Fit :) And afte...
In honor of Kye's 5 month day on Tuesday I had a day all about me! haha! It worked out very nicely as I got to spend time with Kye in the morning then at about 11 Mrs. Charlotte came by and picked him up and I headed to the spa! Zach had gotten me a spa day back for my birthday but they wouldn't let me use it close to my due date for fear it'd send me into labor (which was what I was hoping it would do haha) so I finally got to use it! I had an hour and a half massage and the girl told me I have next to ZERO amounts of stress! It was great to hear b/c I'm a high stress person (shocked right?) and I've really been working on not getting so stressed all the time. I guess it's working! The massage was just ok. She really wasn't very good at it at all and talked my ear off the ENTIRE time which is a BIG pet peeve of mine (I PAY to RELAX not to hear about your life lady!). But the hour long facial was much better! It felt so good on my face and even though it mad...
Kye has FINALLY started to enjoy his Jumperoo! Unfortunately, it's still too high for him to reach the ground. We actually went to Mrs. Charlotte's and she has the same Jumperoo that I do and hers goes down lower! I called the manufacturer and they said ours is a new design because people got too confused when putting it together...um okay...I still wish ours could go lower so my poor kid could touch the ground but oh well! Here is a video of him in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgrJMH9-ShM While he does love the Jumperoo, he loves his mommy even more. I don't think he's a "mommy's boy" or anything like that, but right now I AM his favorite toy! These pictures make my heart melt. He was playing fine by himself but when I came over to snap some pictures his whole face lit up at seeing me! It's so funny to me how much he finds me entertaining. I'm awful at singing, not funny at all, yet my child adores my voice and cracks up at me con...
Zach, Ashley, Katie and I have had this Daytona trip planned long before Kye was even born! We've all been looking forward to a fun weekend together and it didn't disappoint!!! We got a super awesome deal on the stay...we used our timeshare trip package thing so all we had to pay was hotel tax which was $15 apiece for the whole weekend AND they gave us $40 vouchers for food at a local steak house! AND our room had view of the beach! So awesome :) We headed down Friday afternoon and went straight to dinner to celebrate Zach's birthday. We ate at Bucca Di Beppo. Zach and I ate there when we went to Ft. Lauderdale and it was sooo good and our waiter gave us a coupon for our next visit so we found one in Daytona Beach! Dinner was awesome and it felt so great that finally we all had fun on Zach's birthday celebration. It seems like every year that we do something together for Zach's birthday that something goes wrong and it ends up not being the best time but this ...
This past weekend was Tax Free weekend in Georgia and I planned to take full advantage of the great deals! I decided to take Kye with me and head down to Lake Park (about a 25 min drive) to do a little shopping at the outlets. All I can say is that shopping is MUCH different with a baby! My plan was to head out when he woke up 45 min into his first nap which is ALWAYS does like clockwork...but of course he must have known that I was hoping he'd wake up because for the first time EVER he slept for the full 2 hours without me having to go into his room once! When he did wake up I fed him then decided to wait until the afternoon nap to shop and met Zach at the post office to get Kye's Passport! Here he is with his passport papers :) His passport picture is hilarious and it's even funnier that it will be valid until he's 5! How cool is it though that at under 6 months old he will have a passport and at 7 months old he'll travel outside the country (going to Canc...
