Typically whenever "the crud" goes around I've never really worried about it. I swear we're like super-human around here about how rarely we get sick. Zach and I don't get sick often and Kye's never had anything more than a cold. A couple weeks ago I heard Kye coughing in the night and ended up going in his room (rare for me!) to give him some cough meds (C-Phen drops). I didn't worry too much about it but Thursday (Feb 3rd) he woke up after a night of coughing and I decided to take him to the dr. I guess it's a mothers intuition moment b/c I pretty much avoid the dr office at all costs. But something in me just said to take him. I knew Friday I planned on having him go to Mrs. Charlotte's so I could get my hair done and go to the dentist then Saturday was Lorelai's party and I didn't want to risk him getting worse and not being able to take him until Monday. When we first moved into our house at Abbott we went on a HUGE Ikea adventure. I'm hoping someday to find the time to go back and blog about memories from the past and that's one that I for sure want to relive! It was CRAZY. We rented a Uhaul and drove it to Atlanta for a 24 hour decorate our entire house shopping spree. We were young and nuts. Haha. This time around that ain't happenin'. Ikea is (typically) cheaper than even Walmart so we decided to divide up our Ikea adventures into two trips. That way the money is spread out too :) Zach really didn't feel like making the 3 hour drive to Ikea on a Saturday after having driving to Columbus and back (3 hours 1 way), Augusta and back (another 3 hours one way) and Brunswick and back (2 hours 1 way) during that week for work. Okay. So everyone knows that Zach, my husband, works for Aflac right? Well did you know just how many people in our lives actually work for Aflac too? Zach's Dad worked with the company for 20 years then left for awhile and has just come back into it this past June as Zach's district coordinator (so, yes, his boss). Zach's Mom, Mrs. Charlotte (you're welcome Stephanie haha), helps Mr. Rusty with his position but also works for several agents as a side job handling their claims (we pay her to do Zach's). Several other family members are also Aflac agents but aren't currently hardcore (like Aunt Karen, Mr. Rusty's cousin, etc). Over the past several months we've added more people to the crew! Mom moved up from Melbourne , left teaching, and now is an Aflac agent (and Zach is her "CIT" so he has helped train her). I know this is a RANDOM post! I'm organizing my new desk area and finding all sorts of random things. One of which I want to be able to refer back to when needed, and think everyone needs to know about. I'm kinda hardcore when it comes to etiquette. My go-to book while I was engaged was The Bride's Book of Etiquette. If you're engaged, it's a MUST read. When I went to address my wedding invites I put together a (typed, of course) list of how to address invitations and I refer back to it when addressing birthday invitations, thank yous, and Christmas cards. I know this may sound dumb but it's a pet-peeve of mine to have things addressed properly and it bothers me when I get mail, especially wedding invites, addressed wrong. Am I OCD or whhhhat?
