I'm a big believer in that our home will never be "finished." We will always be doing little things here and there to improve it, update it, and make it better and better! Zach has done a TON of improving on the outside of our home and is currently hard at work on his next project which is finishing the kids new playroom ;) Posts on all of that to come, of course! In the past few months we have done a few smaller things to the inside of our house and I LOVE each of them!!! Sometimes small changes can have a BIG impact!!! When we first moved in we went to Ikea and we just bought this tan rug for our dining room. I never liked it. It was NOT the right size and it always bothered me. Also it was dry clean only and when we got it cleaned it wouldn't ever flatten out all the way so that made it even more annoying to me. I debated buying a new one because we had talked about eventually getting a larger dining room table. Our dining room table was super cheap cheap (...
Brittlynn turned 16 months old on April 6th. I truly look at her now and see a TODDLER instead of a baby! I think her being potty trained really makes her SO much more "grown up!" It really doesn't make me sad though. I truly ADORE this stage and have been looking forward to this phase in our lives for awhile now :) I'm using What to Expect the Toddler Years to compare Britt to what is the "norm" for her age. At 16 months old, Britt is doing everything she should be able to do including: imitate activities scribble (we don't do it often, I plan to have more coloring time once she drops the morning nap) She can also do everything a 16 month old will probably be able to do including: say 3 words use an object in imitation She can do everything a 16 month old may possibly be able to do including: say 6 words run Britt can also do everything a toddler her age may even be able to do including: kick a bal...
Britt was 15 months old from March 6th through April 5th. Like I mentioned in Kye's monthly post, March was a VERY crazy month for us so I didn't keep track as much with the little things each kid was doing so this is a shorter monthly post than normal! Eating: Britt is still a fabulous eater. She prefers BIG pieces of food like Kye now. She also wants everything he has to eat. I have given her the "veggie drinks" before but she wasn't really into it too much. This month, however, she became obsessed and will down the entire thing in a matter of seconds! She also had her first smoothie and really liked it! Overall she's MUCH cleaner about her eating, yet still has her "messy moments' for sure! As I mentioned in Kye's post, I did take both kids on a mini-grocery run with me. Britt had her first Publix cookie (and it was only Kye's 2nd or 3rd haha, sheltered children!) and she, duh, loved it!!! Hair: I am SO thank...
