I promise I'm still alive :) I've just been very busy....well, busy laying out and enjoying this beautiful weather! It's been too great outside to be sitting at the computer! Anyway Kye turned 23 months old at the beginning of this month and we're now in his last month of having to count the dang months. I am SO ready to just say "he's 2" instead of "he's such and such month." So ready, in fact, that I've been saying "he's two" since like December. :) Here's what Kye's been up to this past month: words: At this point, there is NO WAY to keep track of all the words Kye can say. He's a talking machine and says pretty much anything he hears us say. The most exciting word has been "yes" as up until now he would only nod his head to say "yes" and couldn't actually say the word. I'm not one to let anyone stop me from doing what I feel is right so even though the last time I asked you all for prayers I had a very dramatic response ( remember? ), I'm still going to continue to ask for prayers when situations arise that they are needed. I've been thinking about prayer lately and what a huge responsibility it is when someone directly asks you to pray for them or for a situation. I feel honored that people trust me to pray and it really is a responsibility to send up those requests to the Lord. In asking for prayer, a person is telling you that they know you are a righteous person who will take the time to talk to God on their behalf. They trust you with this important job and it's our duty to actually do the praying! Don't just say "oh my, of course I'll pray for you" then go on with your busy life and not stop and say the prayers you've just promised to say. I'm trying to work on this and am getting myself into the hab...
Do you readers even begin to know how important you are to me? It's currently 11:39 and I have to get up at 5:15 but what am I doing? Writing a blog entry to you to read in the morning while I'm at Zach's surgery! How sweet am I? Anyway...Zach's having back surgery. This is tough for us for many reasons. Obviously, it's the most tough on Zach since he's the one in the horrible pain. His back started hurting after helping Mom move up here but randomly one day when he was working he just twisted wrong and BAM it was KILLING him and hasn't stopped since. He went to a chiropractor, back specialist, had an MRI, and even got an epidural. All were expensive, and none helped. The MRI did show that a piece of one of his discs or something (I am a stay-at-home mom here people, not a dr, so no medical terms for me!) is broken off and pressing on his nerve and that's what is causing the pain. He hurts non-stop, especially down his leg which is the nerve that's...
Here's what's been going on with Kye this month! Peek-A-Boo Bath: Kye's new favorite game in the bathtub is peek-a-boo with the shower curtain. Here's a video of it. We're still working on the swimming survival skills in the tub like we were last month too. Teeth: I feel like the whole month was filled with TEETHING. Yuck. Kye has never been an easy teether. He gets fussy, misbehaves more and doesn't sleep or eat well. Kye currently has 10 teeth total! Here are his four bottom teeth The two middle bottom ones make me nervous b/c they are so close together and seem to get plaque build-up mega easy. You can see the discoloration from the plaque in this picture (double click on it to make it bigger)! Any tips on what to do about it? Here's a pic of Kye's 4 upper teeth and 2 top molars.
