Summer Recap 2018: Week 1

Since Zach and I were on our romantic Disney trip the first true week of summer we're kicking off our first official family week of summer the week after we got back: May 31st - June 9th! (Yes, it's longer than a single week ha! I just combined the days we got back with the week following) If you're new around here I typically do a monthly summary post year-round of all of our family fun as well as an individual monthly summary post for each kid. In the summer though? I stick to a weekly post that covers EVERYTHING from that week!

Spring Break MK Day 2

Our original intent on our trip was to go to the BEACH over Spring Break! Buttttt it was just too chilly. So we had literally NO PLANS since our beach day got washed. We saw that Magic Kingdom had another 8 am opening so we made the call to just go back there as a family. Yall know me. I don't do last minute stuff. And we literally were wearing our beach outfits haha but it ended up being one of THE most magical mornings!!! Sometimes last minute plans are THE BEST!

Britt Swim 2016

Thursday, June 2, 2016

Britt has always been the kid who is content with just playing on the stairs. The past couple of years she's really gotten better at ENJOYING swimming and she's just a little fish! I have to remind her to starfish b/c girl can just hold her breath all day long. I can really see her wanting to swim more in the future, she catches on quickly and would probably do great at swim team (of course right now though she's ALL about some gymnastics and dance!). This year Britt swam every Monday for 5 weeks for 30 min per session. She did an individual lesson with Mrs. Margie ( We love Tiny Bubbles! ) and really started learning different strokes! She had a BLAST and was a great example for Tess to watch! I didn't take as many pictures or notes as I usually do because I was dealing with a toddler near the pool...and also because pictures of swimming aren't so amazing and there wasn't really much that needed to be noted for me to remember. This summer I plan to have her p...

Spring Swim

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

I know I am kinda hardcore about several things, but swimming is def on that list! I am SO thankful we did survival swim lessons with both Kye and Britt and we will 100% be doing them with Leo as well as any future babies. To me, it's a must have...especially since we own a pool!!! I LOVE Tiny Bubbles and the skills they have given my children. Seeing how awesome they are in the water is truly amazing to me!!!  Not only do I think it's important to have survival swim, I also think it's important to keep the kids in the water and to refresh them each year. Kye has learned so much  every time we do lessons! This year Kye swam in the afternoons (one afternoon a week for 6 weeks) and Britt swam in the mornings (one morning a week for 6 weeks). Each child had an individual instructor for their 30 min in the water. I was more nervous for Britt's only b/c she hadn't had any experience with Tiny Bubbles other than her survival swim and I wasn't sure how sh...
