Since Zach and I were on our romantic Disney trip the first true week of summer we're kicking off our first official family week of summer the week after we got back: May 31st - June 9th! (Yes, it's longer than a single week ha! I just combined the days we got back with the week following) If you're new around here I typically do a monthly summary post year-round of all of our family fun as well as an individual monthly summary post for each kid. In the summer though? I stick to a weekly post that covers EVERYTHING from that week!
This is the first monthly summary post for Spear! I finished up his weekly summary posts with his 13th week which happened to end on March 1st so this post picks up from there and covers the entire month of March which is his 4th month of life. He was 3 months old during this month!
All about Tess in March! This month Tess had her Donuts with Dads day at school and she was SO excited and proud. This was the first year she's gotten Daddy allllll to herself since the past couple of years she's had to share him with Britt and he's split time between the girls' classes.
All about Kye's March! Kye got SLAMMED with sickness at the end of February and we were SO thankful that he started feeling better a couple days before his birthday party. He wasn't 100% but he was fever free and able to go back to school!
This is a summary of Spear's 13th week of life. From Friday February 23rd through Thursday March 1st. He was 12 weeks old during this week! Feeding: We hit a bump in the road with feeding. It's almost like Spear started rejecting the bottle which was crazy to me seeing as he's ONLY fed via bottle. How can you reject the only source of food you have ever known? He started taking a super long time to eat and just didn't seem hungry and didn't seem to WANT his bottle. He'd take like an HOUR per feeding and still only drink like 4 oz. when he's typically been taking in 6 per feeding. We would still work to make sure he got 7-8 oz at night to help make up for what he wasn't getting in the day! I wasn't overly concerned about him getting enough. He was still sleeping solid and using the bathroom regularly. But I was thinking it was schedule related. Maybe it was time to switch things up? Moving to the 3.5 hour schedule wouldn't drop a...
This was Tess's last month of being THE baby of the family :) And truly it's hard for us to see her as a "big kid." I'm sure it's b/c she's the youngest but I also think it's because she's so little? Britt was always SO TALL that she looked older than she was! I have to always remind myself that Tess is THE oldest "baby" we've had. When we planned solo time with the kids before the baby was born I had to make sure I carved out time for Tessie too! She's old enough to enjoy "dates" and I'm so glad I did. We went to the mall to visit the Pet Store and get a treat and just walked around together. It was a fun morning! My animal lover! She picked an icee as her treat! Little Miss Sass ;) I had someone ask recently at what age you stop waking your kids for the day...my older two NEVER sleep in (okay well they rarely sleep in) but Tess does have occasions where she ...
