6 Months Old!

Here's how Kye is doing compared to what the book What to Expect The First Year says he "should" be doing for his age (and some pictures of him playing with Daddy's hat too!): Kye can do all the things a six month old "should" be doing including: keep head level with body when pulled to sitting say "ah-goo" or similar vowel-consonant combinations pretty short list for the "should be's" huh? Kye can do most of the things that a six month old "will probably, may possibly, and even may" be able to do including: bear some weight on legs when held to upright sit without support turn in the direction of a voice razz stand holding on to someone or something (not for too long but he can do it!) object if you try to take a toy away work to get a toy out of reach pass a cube or object from one hand to the other look for dropped object babble, combining vowels and consonants such as ga-ga-ga, ba-ba-ba, ma-ma-ma, da-d...

So it's official! As of today I used up all my storage space for my blog!!! In a little over one year I used 1 GB of storage...which means now my blogging habit is costing me money. I signed up to get an additional 10 GB of storage for $20 a year. Hopefully this will last me at least 10 years, if not I'll have to up it again and then it costs $75 a year for 40 GB. It's all worth it to keep up with my beloved blog though :)

Summary of Month 6

This month has been a big one for our little boy! Lots of changes and tons of growth...he's gone from a baby to a little man :) Newest Sound It seems like every month Kye has some new sound he's learned to make that he does constantly this month it's a grunt noise. It seriously sounds like the kid is constipated!!! I don't like it but it's a VERY "manly" sound and it is pretty funny. He now mixes it with the high pitched squeal and that's hilarious because they are total opposites in sounds! Click here for a video of Kye grunting Looking Backwards This seems to be Kye's new favorite thing. While you're holding him he'll jerk back and want to see the world up-side down! I think it has to do with the fact that at this age he's realizing that things exist even when he can't see them. It makes it trickier to hold onto him but it's super cute too :) Reading I love to read with Kye but it's become rather annoying. ...

The End of Jeff and Jordan :(

Since getting DVR a couple years ago Zach and I record a good bit of TV. We watch most of the "good" shows out there. From Grey's Anatomy, to Survivor and Real World. My personal favorite though? Big Brother!!! I had heard about it but thought it sounded so stupid...until my mom got really into it and I decided to give it a try. OMG it's the BEST show ever seriously!!! This is our third season watching and it's my favorite. Recently we got a free HD upgrade and part of the deal was 3 months free of HBO and Showtime. Well when Big Brother started they always advertise watching After Dark on Showtime to follow the houseguests live and this year I actually had Showtime! I started taping the After Dark (it's on from midnight to 3 am every single night) and became ADDICTED. All summer I haven't watched any other show but Big Brother or Big Brother After Dark!!! Of course anytime you watch a show you pick favorites and since I watch nothing BUT this show I reall...
