This month of Kye's life was awhile ago and also took place during a major move, a major surgery, and the holidays. Poor kid got neglected when it came to writing down things, taking pictures, and videos. So much so that I thought I'd just combine his two monthly posts into one! Words: Kye's vocabulary continues to expand at rapid speeds each month. While I know I missed writing down many of the words he started to say here are the few I did write down (I actually save them in a memo on my phone): water (now says the actual word instead of "wateee" like he used to), milk (says "malkt"), "g o away cat/doggie/mommy " (here's a video ), Gramma (says "mama"), 2-4-6 , 4-5-6 , push , blue , help . He enjoys saying "Bye bye" to everything (box, door, cat, doggie, etc). He also enjoys asking for help and will do so all the time. It's MUCH better than whining though so I'll take it ;) Fears: Those toddler fears are...
I know we're nearing February so that means I only have 11 months to accomplish all my goals for this year, I'd better get on it! These are, of course, in very random order: Take time out of my day to visit with God and His Word Be the wife I need to be for Zach, our marriage, and our Father Transition Kye back to his scheduled lifestyle and keep it that way consistently Stay current with my blogging and blog daily whenever possible - also catch up and stay current on Facebook picture uploads Swim laps regularly and enjoy the new pool Have a minimum of 1-2 Stella and Dot Trunk Shows a month Have Kye sleeping in a big boy bed by the end of the year At least complete 2 blog books, but hopefully more Take very good care of my skin and wear sunscreen each and every time I go into the pool or lay out Have a more "Dave Ramsey" lifestyle. Save more. Spend less. Get stuff paid off. Become better friends with people in our church and fellow Christians Get rid of ...

Hoping time slows down for me some this year :)
You probably thought I forgot, am I right? Each year I like to start the year off with a list of goals for myself for that year. What's the point of making goals if you don't check yourself to see how to did at meeting them??? So at the end of each year I like to go back through the list and see how I did. Here's my review of 2010: You can read my original list of goals for 2010 here ! 1. become more involved with church and my church family: I am much, much more involved than I ever have been that's for sure. We've always been devoted to attending services but now I honestly feel like it's my lifestyle. I WANT to be at church Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday nights. Wednesdays have actual become my favorite time to be at church and I'm proud of myself for getting more involved and reaching out to members of the church. Hopefully it'll only continue to get better and better! 2. go on a date with Zach once a week or minimum of twice a mont...
I woke up on New Year's Eve in my same bed but in a new house :) It was pretty exciting!!! I was hoping to sleep in and start feeling better but when you have a kid on a schedule guess who else it puts on a schedule??? Yup, YOU. So at 7:20 I was wide awake and let Zach sleep until 9 while I worked on unpacking some more. Here's just a taste of what I was dealing with...my closet took me DAYS: Zach and I were looking forward to our New Year's plans. I've NEVER been on a date on New Year's before so it was going to be fun! Kye went to Gramma's to help her ring in the New Year and while I wished he was with us I think it was important for them to have some quality time. She went from living with 2 people, a toddler, 2 dogs and a cat to living just by herself and I'm sure that took some adjusting! We decided to use the gift-card that Katie got us for Christmas and go to eat the The Bistro for dinner. It was WONDERFUL to get dressed up cute and go out on the ...
