Remember over the summer? When I ended up in the ER b/c my face was SO swollen and painful? Remember the MESS I went through with all of it? Well if you don't...you can get a refresher here :) Well. I assumed it was a one time thing. I mean it was RANDOM so typically when random things happen you don't assume they will happen again. But this is me we're talking about (and this is 2016 we're also still talking about...anything was possible in 2016 when it came to random annoying negative junk). So the same day we were told that Zach had spots on his brain I noticed a spot along my eyebrow line. At the same area where I had a spot over the summer. I assumed that this time it was an ingrown eyebrow hair. I googled it a bunch and it fit the description so I treated it with some good 'ole Pinterest finds (mostly salt water) and it cleared up within a few days. So then we got back from Disney on a Friday and that weekend we all had a tummy bug. Then that...
WARNING: Yes, this post will be very long. And yes, there will be several pictures showing this awful rash. Be prepared!!! As mentioned in an earlier post, Kye has been s ick for the first time in his life . I also have been sick. I got sick the day after we got Kye on antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) for his sickness and I was sick all through our trip to Amelia Island . Then I felt a little better for a couple days then got all new symptoms and was sick throughout our trip to Melbourne for "Easter." Kye finished up the antibiotics on Sunday (while we were in Melbourne) and seemed to be doing fine. We got home and life went on and Monday I called his doctor who prescribed me a z-pack for my sickness (without me having to go in...how awesome is that!?!). I still felt bad and the z-pack thing made me feel very nauseous that night when I took the first dose. Tuesday morning I woke up feeling a little better but still not 100%. Kye seemed fine but felt a little warm and had a...
I think I am the QUEEN at forgetting that babies change! I just always forget that things can't stay the same with Kye because he's growing and as he gets older I have to adjust things to fit his needs. For example, months and months ago Zach and I had a huge argument in the car b/c he wasn't strapping Kye in tight enough in his car seat. We got home and read the car seat instructions and realized that we still had the NEWBORN parts in the seat that should have been removed months prior as Kye was well beyond the 11 lb limit for them! Stuff like that happens all the time! We get in a routine and we forget that just because we aren't changing doesn't mean that Kye isn't. This time my realization of Kye's changes came about from his shots. I followed the same shot routine we always follow: gave him Tylenol before the dr. appt, then continued to give it to him for the 24 hours following the appointment. For some reason though he just seemed in SO much pain. I...
Kye's Changes This Week: 4 Hour Schedule: This is very exciting! Babywise suggests that by the time a baby is 4 months old they should be on the four hour schedule (eating at 7, 11, 3, and 7). I planned on waiting until Kye was closer to the 4 month marker just to make sure he was ready but Saturday we moved it! Since Autumn was here for his pictures he went down for his nap almost an hour late and was soooo sleepy. I let him sleep until 11 instead of the normal 10:30. He did fine! So the next nap I tried to put him down later and he slept again until 3. I was worried about the 7 pm feeding though b/c that means he had to go 12 hours without eating again. I thought for sure he'd wake up in the middle of the night! But since Katie and Ashley were over and he played A LOT with them and was outside a lot he was so tired we didn't hear a thing out of him all night! Being on a 4 hour schedule is wonderful as his naps have been SO much better (since he's 4 hours now he ...
