Zach left Wednesday afternoon for Macon (he had to work the evening shift selling Aflac to prison employees) and decided to stay until Thursday night so while having all my pain I also had Kye all by myself! Surprisingly though it went really well! Being alone with him is tough because I don't have help but in a way it was also nice because I could do anything I wanted and not have to get someone elses opinion! It was a good opportunity to start the suggestions Stacy gave me with babywise and they worked! He only woke up once during the night! I was so pumped!!! Once we got up for the day yesterday I decided to call the lactation specialist at the hospital. I tried pumping like Stacy suggested but I wasn't getting any results and it hurt so so badly, so it just wasn't worth it. I talked to the lactation lady for about an hour and she told me she wanted me to come up to the hospital so she could see my breasts and watch me nurse to see if she could figure out what is wron...
When I walked into the dr. yesterday the first thing Stacy said to me was. "as of tomorrow you're full term!" I hadn't even realized that! Isn't that amazing to think that is Clover came today she or he would be healthy and not considered early? Today is a pretty significant day. I'm due exactly one month from today (less if you count the days but by the date it's one month away!). I'm 36 weeks pregnant and starting my 9th month of pregnancy. It's truly hard to believe that it has been 9 months. Everyone I have talked to says pregnancy feels like it lasts forever but honestly the time had flown by for me! It seems like just yesterday we found out we were pregnant and now we will be parents at any time! Here are the latest pictures of me: I've been experiencing lots more changes with my body: Pain: My lower back has been hurting A LOT more than usual. Especially whenever I go from laying to standing, it's horrible. I also have a lot o...
First I must update about my earlier blog entry this morning: One detail I forgot to leave out (blame that placenta brain!) was the reason I woke up to begin with...my panities were too tight! They were seriously digging into me hardcore. Up until now I've been wearing my size small panties (and yes, I still rock a thong all day everyday but wear the panties at night) but I realized it's time to invest in some mediums! Thankfully Victoria's Secret is still having that Semi-Annual Sale! Due to the panty issue, it does make me thing dropping has occurred! Also the movement I feel is still feet up and hiccups down (thank the Lord) but the feet movement is more a little above the belly button rather than in my ribs. I'm not going to say FOR SURE that Clover has dropped until I hear it from the ultrasound girl on Thur but I think that is what has happened! Now back to current blogging... Did you know that the hospital actually takes the baby's first picture? I wa...
Zach and I had such a fun time last night (or should I say tonight?). We stayed up until 12:30 making up floorplans on this website he found for our next home! It was sooo much fun and while we obviously aren't moving for at least a couple of years, it's good to have in mind what we want since it'll be our first time building. While in the process of all the fun I felt something different. I felt more pressure in my lower abdomin and it made me a little concerned that maybe the baby has moved somehow? When we finally went to bed I slept AWESOME. However, I woke up about 30 minutes ago (around 5:30 so yeah...4 hours of sleep) and can't go back to sleep. Things just feel different... Some "symptoms" I'm having: No back pain: First night in what feels like a million years that my back isn't hurting while laying down. I'm not tossing and turning. Every position feels comfortable! Not hot: Every night I battle with the thermostat to make it ...
I realized the other day that throughout my pregnancy I haven't really had that many "pregnancy symptoms" or at least if I have had them I haven't noticed. Well, those days are over. I'm in the third trimester now and am being hit like crazy with a million different things to deal with here! First here are some updated belly pics. I'm going to try to take these more often because I think there are much more drastic changes in the size of the belly now! I'm 30 weeks and 2 days in these. Here are some of the changes I've been noticing lately: Baby's Movement: Before it was just kicking, and sometimes I'd feel a tough one to the ribs or something but now it's not really kicking it's JABBING. At pretty much any given moment if you felt my tummy you'd be able to find at least one really tight spot where Clover is pressing a foot or hand or something really hard against the wall. I can also feel hiccups (in the lower belly sinc...
Yesterday was a VERY busy day! We had our hair done at 8:30 then rushed from there to our doctor's appointment. I am not quite sure why they have me come every two weeks now...it seems kind of stupid because every appointment is just "let's hear the heart" then we leave! What's the point? The heart did sounds good though and Stacey really liked our 4d ultrasound pictures! We did talk about a couple of things too: She told me the whole you-shouldn't-raise-your-hands-above-your-head-thing is a wive's tale and that it won't do anything to the baby Also she said it is true that I need to be sleeping on my left side. This is so annoying because now that my back hurts so much I really want to be sleeping on my back rather than my side and I wake up a thousand times a night on my back. She said I'm waking up during the night because I am on my back and it's my body's way of telling me to roll over. The reason to sleep on the left side? Somethin...
Today I am officially starting my 7th month of pregnancy! Week 28 and I'm in the third trimester! Pretty exciting because it means there are 12 weeks until my due date :) Also not exciting because it means I'm entering the toughest phase of pregnancy. Zach mentioned recently that he's glad we want to spread out our children because he doesn't know how he'd handle me being pregnant again anytime soon! haha! Poor guy thinks it's been tough so far...he doesn't realize what's in store these last 3 months! I honestly feel like I'm a little further along than my due date reflects and I think I've been showing some symptoms of the third trimester for a couple weeks now. Some changes I've noticed in my pregnancy include: On Tuesday my left breast joined my right one in the leaking! My right one has really been leaking a lot to where it'll go through a bra and shirt so I have to wear nursing bra pads already. Also I tried to squeeze the ri...
This past Thursday, November 20th. marked my 24th week of pregnancy! I'm into my six month!!! Pretty big milestone for sure :) Here is what I look like now (I put these up for you Michelle!), and will supposedly be coming home from the hospital looking like. It's not near as bad as I thought and if it's true that you come home looking 6 months pregnant I feel like I'll be able to lose this in a decent amount of time! While I still have yet to have a stranger notice my pregnancy, I have already witnessed some changes that the sixth month brings. 1. Baby: Moving like CRAZY now! I love it! Up until this week I'd usually only feel the baby move late at night or early in the morning and now I feel it several times throughout the day. Sunday at church was a time I don't think I'll ever forget. The little baby was moving throughout the whole service! Ashley got to feel it for the first time which was exciting for her! I realize how difficult it will b...
I have yet to experience many of the pregnancy symptoms I have read about: Still never hungry, no true I'll-die-if-I-don't-get-to-eat-this cravings, no nose bleeds, and (thankfully!) no hemroids. However I am experiencing a couple of the major pregnancy side effects. My tummy itches a lot (I am scratching it more than I am rubbing it haha), I have to "tinkle" (your welcome Mom...) constantly, and sleeping is no longer a luxury I enjoy! I am not tired as much as I was earlier on (especially now that knock-on-wood the headaches seem to be gone) and I have a hard time falling asleep. Once I finally get to sleep I wake up SO easily!!! And once I wake up I can't go back to sleep at all! Do I have to "tinkle" during the night? Yes...but do I get up to do it? Not usually! I'm too afraid that once I get up I won't be able to go back to sleep! Zach has been working a TON lately and so he's been waking up pretty early in the mornings. I am pretty muc...
